The London theatre in 2027 is all set with top West End musicals, productions, plays, family shows, immersive experiences, opera, ballet and concerts. Many popular plays will be running through next year, and other new shows will be introduced, featuring interesting stories and actors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the main musicals running into 2027 are <\/span>Wicked<\/a><\/i><\/b> at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, <\/span>Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/a><\/i><\/b> at the Sondheim Theatre and <\/span>The Phantom of the Opera<\/a><\/i><\/b> at His Majesty\u2019s Theatre. Moreover, <\/span>Hamilton<\/a> <\/i><\/b>will still be performing at the Victoria Palace Theatre, and <\/span>Mamma Mia<\/a>!<\/i><\/b> is still going on at the Novello Theatre.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also included among the long-running shows are <\/span>Matilda The Musical<\/a><\/i><\/b> at the Cambridge Theatre, <\/span>The Book of Mormon<\/a><\/i><\/b> at the Prince of Wales Theatre and <\/span>Six <\/i><\/b>at the Vaudeville Theatre. <\/span>The Devil Wears Prada<\/a><\/i><\/b> is still performing at the Dominion Theatre, while <\/span>Hadestown<\/a> <\/i><\/b>continues to perform at the Lyric Theatre.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the year 2027, many musicals and West End shows will make their way into theatres.<\/span> Billy Elliot The Musical<\/a><\/i><\/b> returns to London at the Adelphi Theatre. <\/span>Sinatra The Musical<\/i><\/b> will also be performed at the Aldwych Theatre. The musical <\/span>Rent<\/i><\/b> is scheduled for performance at Duke of York\u2019s Theatre, and<\/span> One Day The Musical <\/b>at Garrick Theatre. Another show that will grace the Wyndham\u2019s Theatre is <\/span>John Proctor Is the Villain<\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Greatest Showman<\/a> <\/i><\/b>will also find its way onto the London stage in 2027. The stage version of the hit film will perform at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, featuring songs from the film plus five more songs created specifically for the stage. <\/span>Dirty Dancing<\/a><\/i><\/b> is scheduled to perform at the Capital Theatre.<\/span><\/p>\n

Plays will feature prominently on the theatre stage. <\/span>Ivanov<\/i><\/b>, starring Chris Pine, will be seen at Bridge Theatre, and <\/span>Eurotrash<\/i><\/b>, featuring Ben Whishaw, will perform at Young Vic Theatre. <\/span>The Cherry Orchard<\/i><\/b> will be seen at Harold Pinter Theatre. <\/span>King John, The Seagull, <\/i><\/b>and <\/span>Julius Caesar <\/i><\/b>will also be performed at Shakespeare\u2019s Globe and the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.<\/span><\/p>\n

Family-friendly options will also be available next year. The musical <\/span>Paddington<\/a><\/i><\/b> continues its run at the Savoy Theatre, alongside <\/span>Matilda The Musical <\/i><\/b>and <\/span>Harry Potter and the Cursed Child<\/a><\/i><\/b>. Other family-friendly options include <\/span>The Smartest Giant in Town, Room on the Broom, Stick Man and Peppa Pig\u2019s Big Family Show!<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The lineup is also not limited to traditional plays and musicals. <\/span>ABBA Voyage<\/a><\/i><\/b> continues its run at the ABBA Arena, and <\/span>Magic Mike Live<\/i><\/b> runs on at the Hippodrome. Meanwhile, <\/span>Come Alive<\/a>! <\/i><\/b>continues at the Empress Museum, and <\/span>The<\/b> <\/span>Pirates of the Caribbean: The Immersive Adventure <\/i><\/b>gives a new immersive experience at the Greenwich Peninsula.<\/span><\/p>\n

Opera and ballet performances are also scheduled for the year, including <\/span>La Traviata, The Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet and Breaking the Waves<\/i><\/b> at the London Coliseum. Concerts and live performance events include <\/span>The Simon and Garfunkel Story <\/i><\/b>at the London Palladium and <\/span>Johannes Radebe: Finally Home<\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because different shows will have different booking dates, the 2027 London theatre calendar will be formed progressively as the production details and casts get announced.
