You are not a mere spectator, but become a part of the performance once you come to watch.
Come Alive! The Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular- An All-inclusive Circus Performance
In comparison to the conventional productions of London theatres, Come Alive! starts before the actual performance has begun. Visitors to the Empress Museum end up being ushered into a pre-show interactive experience, which starts an hour before the opening of the curtain. Within this sparkling world beneath the Big Top, patrons are treated to close-up circus shows, itinerant entertainers, and ambient scenes that precondition the future.
As soon as the show starts, be impressed by the world-class acrobatics, air skills, and the energetic choreography to be performed in a small 700-seat space. The intimate location provides a special point of view that is hardly present in a West End Theatre, and every moment is intimate and thrilling.
The Story & Music
The original story told in Come Alive! is based on the wit of The Greatest Showman. Its core is a self-confident ringmaster who is willing to convince a woman who loves circuses to appear in the spotlight, against the wishes of her boyfriend. Self-belief, ambition and acceptance of being an individual are some of the themes that are evident throughout the show, which makes it not only emotionally moving but also visually stunning.
The mood is intensified through the live performance of the most iconic songs in the film, such as This Is Me, The Greatest Show, and A Million Dreams, in a new arrangement to fit the atmosphere and magnitude of a live circus show.
Cast & Performers
Casting Simon Bailey (Moulin Rouge!), The Showman, and Aaliya Mai, making her professional stage debut, in her part as Max. They are accompanied by an excellent vocal ensemble of Jaz Ellington, Charlotte-Hannah Jones, Whitney Martins, and Fallon Mondlane.
There is a brilliant cast of dancers and worldwide-renowned circus artists who present unbelievable sporting and artistry on the stage, and the performances have been hailed by London Theatre as being of the standard of Cirque du Soleil.
Creative Team
The show is the brainchild of a Drama Desk Award winner, Simon Hammerstein and realised by an award-winning creative team. Matthew Brind (nominated at the Olivier Awards as music producer) provides music production with Jerry Reeve and Lukas McFarlane. Lighting Designer Adam Bassett, set designer Ruby Law, and costume designer Susan Kulkarni contribute to the visual effect.
