About the Theatre

The theatre opened its doors in 1937 under the name of Edward VII Theatre because it honored the future king Edward VII. The venue hosted The Great Dictator as its UK premiere while The Beatles delivered their most famous performances.

The venue has served as a performance space for numerous stars throughout its history. The venue currently stands as the main stage for The Book of Mormon which has become one of the most popular musicals in West End history.
